| and now back to work tomorrow ugh.
Eric came over Thursday night (I took Friday off of work). We sat and talked for a few hours then made dinner and watched a movie. Then we baked some German cookies (pfefernuse) from his mom's recipe, exchanged christmas gifts and were off to bed. Friday we got up in the afternoon made breakfast got things together and were ff to my families christmas weekend. Saturday we played games and a scavenger hunt with the family then spent the rest of the after noon on a winter walk and playing in the snow for a few hours. Followed by dinner and such. Then Eric and I went on a Cold winter walk under the stars. It was quite cold. But nice. Then off back to Dekalb today (Sunday) and Eric had to go back to West Chicago. Now I have work tomorrow. I wish I could rewind the weekend and do it all over again.
But good things coming up. Going to Louisiana on Friday with the band for the independence bowl. 26th-29th then spending New Years with the boy : )
I am realizing lately how good of a life I have. It may not be perfect. I don't have a ton of money or straight As or a million friends (i prefer a few close ones)....but I am happy. And that's what matters. And I wouldn't change any of it.
off to bed and 2 days of work this week before christmas.
